On January 16, 2025, WINGS proudly participated in the “Hellenic Shield – Advancing Defence Technology 2025,” an event held in Brussels, Belgium. Organized by SEKPY (Hellenic Manufacturers of Defense Materiel Association), this prestigious gathering highlighted the strength, innovation, and potential of the Hellenic defence ecosystem to a global audience.
The event brought together stakeholders from government, industry, and academia, creating a platform for discussions on cutting-edge technologies, strategic collaborations, and Greece’s growing role in the international defence landscape.
During the event, WINGS shared its vision and strategy for adapting its civilian technologies to meet the demands of defence applications. Emphasis was placed on leveraging the company’s expertise and innovations to address critical needs in land, sea, and sub-sea surveillance, as well as ensuring soldiers’ health and safety.
Key examples included plans to extend and adapt solutions such as wi.BREATHE-fire, wi.MOVE, wi.GROW, and wi.CARE+ to serve these objectives. These technologies, originally developed for civilian applications, demonstrate WINGS’ commitment to advancing defence capabilities through innovation and strategic adaptation.
