STARLIT platform in the H2020 DeepHealth project
WINGS Health platform STARLIT is used for the detection of epileptic seizures on EEG signals and for the identification of potential upcoming incidents. Data from different sources such as open data repositories or other DBs, medical devices such as EEG wearables, sensors, etc. are transmitted to the WINGS health platform, data analysis is performed and useful insights concerning the detection and prediction of seizures are provided to healthcare experts through the interactive dashboard, see related video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pifBKfsraNQ
Our platform is used in the @DeepHealth project by applying Deep Learning (DL) techniques on large and complex biomedical datasets to support new and more efficient ways of diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of diseases. Epilepsy is among the most common neurological disorders and affects approximately 50 million people worldwide. WINGS also develops digital solutions for air quality (AIRWINGS), utilities (ARTEMIS), transportation infrastructures (WINGSPARK), aquaculture (AQUAWINGS), food safety / agriculture / (AGNES), and Industrial IoT / logistics (Wingschariot).
