Wings deployed AIRWINGS in the test field of the Fire Service of the Athens International Airport

Extreme weather events and disasters (e.g., wildfires) have become more usual, also due to climate change. They have significant impact on the environment, society and the economy. Technology is becoming essential for predicting and for assessing the environmental, societal and financial impact of such disasters. WINGS ICT Solutions has successfully deployed the AIRWINGS solution in various areas of the Attika region and recently in the test field of the Fire Service of the Athens International Airport (AIA, see pictures below). These devices are suitable for monitoring air quality by measuring parameters such as CO, O3, NO, NO2, SO2, PM1, PM2.5, PM10, humidity, atmospheric pressure, noise and temperature, but also for timely fire detection using measurements of the above parameters. The cooperation between WINGS and AIA is facilitated through the EU H2020 project 5G-TOURS. Besides AIRWINGS, WINGS also develops digital solutions for utilities (ARTEMIS), transportation infrastructures (WINGSPARK), aquaculture (AQUAWINGS), food safety / agriculture / (AGNES), health and wellness (STARLIT), and industry 4.0 / logistics (WINGSChariot). Stay tuned for further news, installations and upgrades.
