The Devices

The Platform
wi.CARE+ is a cloud-based platform powered by AI/ML, IoT, advanced wireless networks (including 5G), and, in special cases, other emerging technologies (like AR/VR). wi.CARE+ comprises capabilities for real-time data collection and visualisation of main vital signs and Electronic Medical Records (EMR). It supports intelligence for identification of current and the forecast of future issues, the emergency notifications/alerts, as well as live video streaming support from the scene. It gives clinicians and carers the power to know what is actually occurring with their patients / people in need. wi.CARE+ enables emergency notifications to be sent to medical experts in case of:
Heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation or blood glucose levels are critical or are out of range (based on individually set predefined thresholds)
Recorded values show a trend towards a potential problematic situation leading to health emergencies
A Patient leaves a specific predefined geographical area (geofencing) makes it particularly useful in cases of people suffering from dementia or Alzheimer’s.
AI Powered Capabilities
wi.CARE+ comprises a suite of AI and predictive analytics algorithms for:
- Analysis of ECG signals to derive useful information for the detection of cardiovascular diseases such as arrhythmia and myocardial infraction.
- High blood pressure (hypertension) forecasting via personalized prediction models.
- Analysis of oxygen saturation signal to derive insights for the detection of apnea and hypopnea respiratory events.
- Analysis of blood glucose levels and prediction of future values, for the early detection of hypoglycemia.

wi.CARE+MigraineNet
MigraineNet™, a mobile application developed by WINGS ICT Solutions in collaboration with neurologists and the Hellenic Headache Society, aims to help individuals self-manage the episodes of migraine. The application is part of a patented system and method for personalized migraine prediction models that are powered by machine learning (ML) and deep learning techniques. The ML models factor in various variables that trigger migraines and can predict the next migraine attack in an individual within a week with an accuracy of up to 73%, as verified by initial pilot tests conducted with real users. The accuracy of the ML models is continuously improving and is expected to increase significantly as the data and usage grows over time.
The MigraineNet app, available for download on iOS and Android devices, provides patients with deep insights on the causes that provoke an incident and offers the most suitable ways to obtain some relief during a migraine attack. It enables patients to avoid or limit the intensity of a migraine incident. For example, by anticipating an episode the patient can receive their medication at the onset of an incident, self-managing, as a result, their condition effectively. Moreover, MigraineNet’s AI-powered technology learns and analyzes the user’s daily habits and forecasts the likelihood of getting a migraine within the day. Patients can choose to share their information with their doctor who can obtain aggregated statistics on the nature of the episodes, their frequency of occurrence and their distribution within the week.
